United States Latino Affairs Initiatives (USLAI) Hablamos Tecnología Global Initiative Digital Bridge Program Official Program Description Overview The Digital Bridge Program is a flagship initiative of the United States Latino Affairs Initiatives (USLAI) under the Hablamos Tecnología Global Initiative. Its mission is to expand access to computers, technology, and digital learning opportunities for students and communities with limited technological resources. USLAI recognizes that access to technology is no longer optional. It is essential for academic success, workforce readiness, and full participation in modern society. The Digital Bridge Program exists to close this gap by providing refurbished computers, technology training, and digital empowerment opportunities.
Mision:
To equip students and communities with the technology and digital access necessary to compete, learn, and lead in the 21st-century global economy.
Core Activities
Computer Access and Distribution
• Refurbishment and deployment of desktop and laptop computers
• Distribution to students, schools, and community organizations
• Local distribution throughout New Jersey
• International deployments in underserved regions
Technology Education and Exposure
• Community workshops on digital literacy and emerging technologies
• Exposure to artificial intelligence, media, and workforce technology tools
• Mentorship and engagement with college students and young leaders
Technology Leadership and Global Engagement
• Development of student-led technology initiatives
• International collaboration and exchange
• Technology competitions and innovation challenges
